Japanese Entertainment Magazine ‘Vector’ Interviews Masao Maruyama (producer) & Toshiyuki Inoue (animator) on Their Time Working with the Legendary Satoshi Kon

15 years after Satoshi Kon’s death, Japanese magazine Vector looks back on the director’s career through two long interviews with producer Masao Maruyama, and animator Toshiyuki Inoue:

Film director Satoshi Kon passed away in 2010 at the young age of 46. Even now, 15 years after his death, his four animated films and one television series are beloved by many.

In this special feature, we spoke with Maruyama Masao, a former Madhouse producer who produced all of Kon’s films, and Inoue Toshiyuki, an animator who worked with Kon before he directed his films and was involved in his work as the main artist.
