Rural Youth & Adult Literacy Trust Giving Thanks

That image of a corrugated iron metal garage popped-up on my timeline, and I thought it was a joke leading to a punchline: Truth of it is much cooler, or warmer, I should say.

🌟 A big thank you to DV Bryant Trust 🌟
We are incredibly grateful to DV Bryant Trust for their generous support in funding a new heat pump for our office.

As a small grassroots charity, our modest office in a converted garage at port Waikato is the hub where our team supports literacy learners across Aotearoa every day — through phone calls, online meetings, and the administration that keeps our free literacy programme running.

Our old heat pump had been faulty for nearly a year, which meant we were relying on small bar heaters in winter and had no cooling in the warmer months. This made our small converted office space uncomfortable at times for both staff and the wonderful local volunteers who visit weekly to help us send information out to communities.

Thanks to the support of DV Bryant Trust, we have a safe, comfortable workspace again. This will make a real difference to the wellbeing and productivity of our team and volunteers as we continue supporting people across the country with their reading and writing.

Ngā mihi nui to DV Bryant Trust for helping us continue this important mahi. 💙
