Random memory unlocked: There is a scene in 2002 Horror/Fantasy film Queen of the Damned——a loose adaptation of 1988 novel The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice, the third novel of the book series The Vampire Chronicles——that features Deftones’ Change (In The House Of Flies), which to my impressionable mind made the movie 1000 times better than what the late author gave it credit for. It has a great, modern nu-metal soundtrack, produced and curated by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. Deftones people have good taste; the aforementioned author’s opinion notwithstanding, of course. Anne Rice is A-OK!
