Song with Two Languages at the Same Time: Madelline — “Dopamine” (version Française/English) [MV] & Polyphonic Overtone Singing 👩‍🎤🎶

Hard to imagine that many people will enjoy exerting extra brain processing power to listen to multiple lyrics——dare I say, it is alien (strange) to try, but I like Madelline’s concept and execution. Adding more voices would turn into a cacophony of indecipherable noise, but “Dopamine” sounds fine and is très bien chanté (very well sung).

““dopamine (split brain version)” It was hard to make LOL

Interesting fact: There are people in the world who can sing multiple notes simultaneously. Polyphonic overtone singing is what that is called, and German vocalist Anna-Maria Hefele is one such person who can manipulate her vocal tract to sing a bass note and a high melody at the same time producing two distinct pitches.

That is quite a gift. Anna-Maria looks human, but she sounds more otherworldly than the Diva Plavalaguna herself, wouldn’t you agree?

Humanity must wait for the 23rd century until Diva Plavalaguna graces the stage with her operatic song, but Anna-Maria Hefele and Madelline are positive signs we’ll be ready for that new “split brain” genre of music when it trends, in another 237 years or so.
